ASAP Stakeholder Engagement

A core objective of the Alaska Stand Alone Gas Pipeline/ASAP (ASAP) project is to develop and build long-term relationships with Alaskan people, with Alaskan communities and with entities along the proposed pipeline route. The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation understands and embraces the importance of actively developing and sustaining relationships with our stakeholders. The benefits of the ASAP project stakeholder engagement plan include improved risk management, cooperation and alignment of interests among all parties, better project outcomes through all phases of the project and improved relations with all interested and affected parties along the pipeline route. The approach to consultations and active engagements will evolve from our current short-term needs assessments and meeting regulatory and financial requirements to a longer-term, more comprehensive strategic channels for relationship building, risk mitigation, and collaboration as the ASAP team works with stakeholders in each phase of the project development. Stakeholders as referred to in this document may include:  Alaska Natives, residents of affected communities along the project pipeline route, local distribution companies, landowners and community representatives, local government authorities, non-governmental and other civil society organizations, local institutions and other interested or affected parties.
