Community Advisory Council

The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) is working with communities along the Alaska Stand Alone Gas Pipeline/ASAP project alignment to participate in a Community Advisory Council.

Mission Statement
Bring stakeholders and project personnel together to discuss, collect, and distribute timely, factual, and reliable project information for the purpose of educating Alaskans about the project while identifying and minimizing social and environmental impacts in an effort to deliver the greatest benefit to Alaskans.

In an effort to increase and improve communication with stakeholders in affected communities along the ASAP alignment corridor, the ASAP project office is in the process of inviting interested and available individuals from the designated affected communities to participate in a Community Advisory Council.  During the community meetings held in each community, there will be an opportunity for interested participants to sign up to learn more about the council on the ASAP project.  ASAP Public Affairs will contact people to explain the council and its mission.  Members are asked to serve for a minimum of one year.  AGDC Public Affairs represents the project office at the CAC meetings but is not the organizer of the meetings and AGDC does not manage the agenda for the Council. Potential members are advised that all expenses associated with attending the council meetings are the responsibility of each of the participants or the organization, community, or corporation being represented.  AGDC accepts no financial responsibility for the activity of the CAC. The Council is not a part of, or an agency of, Alaska Gasline Development Corporation. AGDC will not assure any project activity or project policy on behalf of the ASAP Community Advisory Council.

The ASAP Community Advisory Council continues to invite members from affected communities and stakeholder organizations along the alignment to join the Council and participate in the monthly meetings.  The following communities and organizations are represented by the following ASAP Community Advisory Council members:
